ACT Risk Assessment and Management Framework Training

The ACT Risk Assessment and Management Framework (RAMF) was first released in 2022 and updated in 2025–26. DVCS has been commissioned by the ACT Government to deliver training to government and non-government workers who work with victim-survivors of domestic and family violence (DFV). The training will support participants to recognise their role in responding to DFV and connecting victim-survivors with appropriate support.

There are three tiers of training, aligned to the three tiers of organisations, services and workers set out in the RAMF:

• Tier 1: Generalist providers. Their primary role is to address the universal needs of service users. They may encounter victim-survivors or people who use violence during their work, but providing a service response to DFV is not a core part of their work.
• Tier 2: Intermediate providers. Their primary role may be related to DFV, but it is not focused on DFV or DFV risk alone. They often encounter victim-survivors or people who use violence during their work but responding to DFV is not a core part of their work.
• Tier 3: Specialist DFV providers. Specialist DFV providers primary role is directly related to increasing victim-survivor safety and/or addressing the risk of the person using violence. They primarily work with victim-survivors and/or people using violence and should have specialist skills and knowledge about DFV-informed practice.
